The Gamedojo provides a tiered approach to supporting the NZ gaming community to increase its expertise and capacity in creating games and game businesses that are critically acclaimed and commercially successful. It provides various social platforms that assist Peer-based support both amongst Gamedojo residents, as well as for the broader NZ game development community. In addition, a Gaming-Entrepreneur-In-Residence (GEIR) supports residents with experienced advice in all facets of game design and game business development.

A series of regular workshops and events, with national and international guest speakers provides a learning platform in which the performance and capacity of the industry as a whole is lifted.
